- Stovetop: Heat avocado oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook burgers for 4-5 minutes per side.
- Oven: Bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet at 400°F (204°C) for 16-18 minutes, then broil for 2-3 minutes to brown.
- Grill: Grill over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes per side.
- For all methods: Cook until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Rest for 5 minutes to reach 165°F (74°C).
- Make Chipotle Mayo: While the burgers cook, whisk together mayonnaise and chipotle chile powder.
- Assemble and Serve: Serve turkey burgers on buns with chipotle mayo, avocado, fresh cilantro, and salsa.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of chipotle chile pepper flakes to your preferred spice level.
- For juicier burgers, avoid overmixing the turkey mixture and don’t press down on the patties while cooking.
- Leftover cooked turkey burgers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
