- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup milk
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 1/2 cups shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works great)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Make sauce: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter. Whisk in flour to create a roux. Add garlic and milk; whisk until smooth. Reduce heat and stir in cream cheese until smooth.
- Add cheese and chicken: Stir in 1 cup mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, chicken, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Bake: Transfer mixture to a baking dish. Top with remaining mozzarella cheese. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
- Serve: Serve hot with crostini, broccoli, and your favorite vegetables for dipping.
Notes
- You can use different types of cheese, such as Gruyère or Fontina.
- If you don’t have crostini, you can use bread, crackers, or tortilla chips for dipping.
