  • 1/4 cup cornmeal (optional)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour, for rolling dough
  • 1/2 cup whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Prepare Dough: If using store-bought dough, let it sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Sprinkle cornmeal (if using) on a rimmed baking sheet.
  3. Roll Dough: Lightly flour your work surface. Gently stretch or roll the pizza dough to a 12-inch circle. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet. Curl the edge slightly to form a thicker crust.
  4. Make Ricotta Mixture: In a small bowl, combine ricotta, Parmesan, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  5. Oil and Garlic: Brush olive oil evenly over the pizza dough. Sprinkle minced garlic over the oil.
  6. Add Ricotta and Mozzarella: Dollop the ricotta mixture over the dough and spread evenly. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
