- 1 tablespoon shortening

- Assorted red, green, & white sprinkles (red and green confetti sprinkles with white non-pareils recommended)
Instructions
- Melt the coating: Combine the white candy melts or bark coating with the shortening in a microwave-safe container. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until the mixture is completely melted and smooth.
- Dip the wafers: Hold each sugar wafer cookie and dip about 3/4 of it into the melted white chocolate coating. Allow the excess coating to drip off back into the container to avoid clumps.
- Add sprinkles: Immediately after dipping, sprinkle the coated part of the wafer with your choice of red, green, and white sprinkles to create a festive look.
- Set the coating: Place the dipped and sprinkled wafers on wax paper in a single layer and let them stand at room temperature until the coating sets and hardens.
- Repeat: Continue the dipping and decorating process with the remaining sugar wafers.
- Store properly: After the coating has fully set, store the wafers in an airtight container for up to two weeks to maintain freshness and crispiness.
