- 1 pound ground veal
- 1 ounce taco seasoning mix
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup taco blend cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
- 16 ounces refrigerated crescent rolls (2 cans, 8 oz each)
- 1 egg
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven โ Preheat your oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC) so itโs ready for baking the crescent ring.
- Cook the Veal โ Add ground veal to a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until the veal is fully cooked through and no longer pink.
- Season the Meat โ Add taco seasoning mix and water to the cooked veal. Stir well to combine, then simmer for 3 to 4 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly. Remove from the heat and set aside.
- Prepare Crescent Dough โ Unroll both cans of crescent dough and separate them into 16 triangles. Let the dough soften slightly at room temperature for easier handling.
- Arrange Dough on Baking Sheet โ Spray a large cookie sheet with non-stick spray. Arrange the triangles into a circle, with the shorter sides forming a 5-inch circle in the middle and the points facing outward. The dough will overlap.
- Add Filling โ Evenly distribute the veal mixture around the ring on the widest part of each triangle. Sprinkle the sliced green onions and shredded taco blend cheese over the meat.
- Fold and Seal โ Fold the pointed end of each triangle over the filling and tuck it underneath the inside of the ring. This will help secure the filling inside the crescent dough.
- Egg Wash โ Whisk the egg in a small bowl and brush the top of the crescent dough with it for a shiny, golden finish.
- Bake โ Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the crescent ring is golden brown and cooked through.
- Cool and Serve โ Let the crescent ring cool for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve with your favorite taco toppings.
