Strawberries

- 1/2 cup (60 g) powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Danish Pastry
- 2 puff pastry sheets, thawed
- 1 large egg lightly beaten with 1 teaspoon water
- 2 โ 3 tablespoons sugar for topping, optional
Toppings
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) strawberry jam, optional for topping
- 1 cup (120 g) powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 โ 3 tablespoons (30 โ 45 ml) milk
Instructions
- Prepare the Strawberries: Clean and slice strawberries, mix with sugar and cornstarch, and allow to sit for 15 minutes.
- Make the Cream Cheese Filling: Blend cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Prepare the Puff Pastry: Cut puff pastry, spread cream cheese filling, layer strawberries, and brush with egg wash.
- Bake: Chill if needed, then bake at 400ยฐF (204ยฐC) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Finish and Serve: Top with warm strawberry jam, powdered sugar, or vanilla glaze.
