Enjoy a delicious and satisfying meal with this Steak Pasta with Creamy Garlic Sauce recipe. Tender steak slices served over al dente penne pasta, tossed in a rich and creamy garlic sauce with sun-dried tomatoes, spinach, and a hint of green chile.

- 12 oz penne pasta
Steak
- 1 lb flat iron steak or ribeye or sirloin
- 1 tbs olive oil
- Salt and Pepper
Cream Sauce
- 2 tbs butter
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch or 1 tbs flour
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup mozzarella
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Additional Toppings
- 1/3 cup Sundried Tomatoes
- 2 cups Spinach fresh
- 1/4 cup green chile roasted, peeled, and chopped (can use canned)
- Parsley chopped for garnish
- Red Pepper Flakes for garnish
Instructions
- Cook Pasta – Cook pasta according to package instructions. Bring a large pot of water to a boil then add dried pasta and cook until al dente.
- Cook Steak – Season both sides of the steak with salt and pepper. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the pan is hot add oil. When oil is heated, cook the steak for 2-4 minutes on each side, until the center reaches your desired temperature. Remove steak from pan and set aside.
- Make Cream Sauce – Melt butter in a large fry pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant. Whisk in cornstarch or flour until fully dissolved. Stir in broth and milk, allow to thicken. Add mozzarella and parmesan cheese, salt and pepper. Add cooked pasta noodles and remaining ingredients. Cook for 2-4 minutes.
Notes
- Sauce: If you have a favorite premade alfredo sauce you can use that! Just heat in a medium saucepan then pour over cooked noodles. Add sun-dried tomatoes, toasted garlic, and spinach for extra flavor!
- Meat: Use whatever steak, chicken, or pork you prefer. You can even use leftover cooked meat!
- Use a good thermometer to tell if your meat is cooked!
