- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 3 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 tablespoon garlic puree
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 10 oz penne pasta, uncooked
- 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tablespoon parsley flakes
Instructions
- Layer Ingredients: Spray the inside of the Crock Pot with cooking spray. Place chicken breasts in a single layer in the bottom. Pour heavy cream and chicken broth over the chicken. Add butter, garlic puree, salt, and pepper.
- Cook Chicken: Cover and cook on HIGH for 3 hours.
- Add Pasta: After 2 hours, remove chicken and shred. Add penne pasta and Parmesan cheese to the Crock Pot and stir well. Cover and cook for 30 minutes.
- Combine and Finish: Stir in shredded chicken and parsley flakes. Cover and cook for an additional 10 minutes. Turn off the Crock Pot and serve.
Notes
- You can use boneless, skinless chicken thighs instead of breasts. Adjust cooking time as needed.
- If you don’t have garlic puree, you can use 2-3 cloves of minced garlic.
- For a thicker sauce, you can whisk in a cornstarch slurry (1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water) towards the end of the cooking time.
- Serve with a side salad or your favorite vegetables for a complete meal.
