Description

Purple Hooter Jello Shots are a fun and vibrant party treat combining the sweet grape flavor of gelatin with the kick of vodka and raspberry liqueur, balanced by a hint of lime. Perfect for gatherings, these easy-to-make jello shots chill to a perfect set, delivering a refreshing adult twist on a classic gelatin dessert.

Ingredients

Scale

Jello Mixture

  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 box Grape Jello (3 ounces)

Alcohol & Flavoring

  • 2/3 cup Vodka
  • 1/4 cup Raspberry liqueur (such as Chambord)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare cups: Line up mini jello shot cups on a baking sheet or cookie sheet to make it easy to transfer to the fridge without spilling.
  2. Dissolve gelatin: Bring 1 cup of water to a boil and remove from heat. Pour the boiling water into a mixing bowl and add the grape jello powder. Whisk thoroughly until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
  3. Add alcohol and lime: Stir in 2/3 cup vodka, 1/4 cup raspberry liqueur, and 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice. Mix until all ingredients are well blended and smooth.
  4. Fill cups: Pour the jello mixture carefully into the prepared mini cups, filling each to the rim for a perfect set and appearance.
  5. Chill: Place the tray with jello shot cups into the refrigerator and let chill for 2 to 4 hours until the jello is firmly set.
  6. Store and serve: Keep the jello shots refrigerated with their lids on until serving time. Optionally, garnish each shot with a maraschino cherry just before serving for an extra pop of color and flavor.
