Pita Fries:
- 3 medium pitas
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon greek seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon oregano
Tzatziki:
- 1.5 cups plain greek yogurt
- 1 cup cucumber grated using the large holes on a box grater
- 1/4 cup shallot or red onion finely diced
- 2 cloves cloves minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 teaspoon fresh mint finely chopped & packed
- 2 teaspoon fresh dill finely chopped & packed
- 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Pita Fries: Cut pita into ยฝโ strips then toss with olive oil, greek seasoning, and oregano.
- Tzatziki: Mix all the ingredients of the tzatziki together and let rest while the pita fries cook. Add more lemon juice if needed before serving.
TO MAKE IN THE AIR FRYER: Place in air fryer basket, spaced evenly apart, and cook at 400ยฐF for 5-6 minutes, tossing halfway.
TO MAKE IN THE OVEN: Place pita strips on a baking sheet and bake at 400ยฐF for 7-10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
Place the cooked pita fries on a platter and serve with the tzatziki dip.
Notes
- For extra flavor, sprinkle some additional greek seasoning on the pita fries before serving.
