- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic

- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups shredded Parmesan cheese (not grated)
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Prepare Chicken: Cut each chicken breast in half and pound to about ยฝ-inch thickness.
- Prepare Egg Wash: In a shallow bowl, whisk together the egg and water until well blended. Add garlic, salt, and pepper, and whisk to combine.
- Coat in Parmesan: Place shredded Parmesan cheese in another shallow bowl. Dip each chicken piece in the egg mixture to coat, allowing excess to drip off. Then, dredge in the Parmesan cheese, pressing gently to adhere. Turn and repeat on the other side. Shake off excess cheese.
- Pan-Fry: Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place chicken in the skillet and cook without moving until the edges are golden brown (about 3 minutes). Lightly press with a spatula, then carefully flip and cook the other side until golden brown.
- Serve: Transfer chicken to a serving plate. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
