Description

Orange Fluff Salad is a classic, creamy, and sweet treat made with whipped topping, orange gelatin, cottage cheese, mandarin oranges, crushed pineapple, and mini marshmallows. Itโ€™s an easy no-bake dessert or side thatโ€™s perfect for potlucks, holidays, or any occasion where you want a light, fruity salad.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • Main Ingredients

  • 8 ounces frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 3 ounces orange gelatin mix (Jello brand or similar)
  • 16 ounces full-fat cottage cheese (small or large curd)
  • 14 ounces mandarin oranges, drained
  • 20 ounces crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Mix Whipped Topping and Gelatin
In a large bowl, combine the thawed whipped topping and orange gelatin powder. Stir well until completely blended and the gelatin is evenly distributed in the mixture.
  2. Add Remaining Ingredients
Add the cottage cheese, drained mandarin oranges, drained crushed pineapple, and mini marshmallows into the bowl. Gently fold in all the ingredients until everything is well combined, being careful not to break up the fruit.
  3. Chill and Serve
Enjoy immediately, or cover and chill the salad in the refrigerator until youโ€™re ready to serve. The flavors meld together even more if allowed to chill for an hour or more.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to five days.
  • Freezing is not recommended as the salad may become soggy or watery after thawing.
  • For best results, make sure all fruit is well drained to avoid excess moisture in the salad.
  • This salad is great for making ahead of time; chilling enhances the flavor and texture.
