Description

Melted Snowman Bark is a festive and fun holiday treat featuring almond bark melted and combined with Oreo cookies, colorful candies, and icing to create adorable snowman faces. This easy no-bake recipe is perfect for holiday parties or gift-giving, with a delightful mix of textures and flavors.

Ingredients

Scale

Base

  • 1 pound almond bark or white melting chocolate

Decorations

  • 12 golden Oreo cookies
  • 6 red and green gumdrops, cut in half
  • 1 Twizzler pull and peel, separated into individual pieces
  • 36 red and green Mini M&Ms
  • Black and orange cookie icing

Instructions

  1. Melt the Almond Bark: In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt the almond bark by microwaving in 30-second intervals, stirring thoroughly between each until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
  2. Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Use a spoon to place 12 dollops of melted white chocolate spaced around the sheet, which will serve as the snowman faces. Place one golden Oreo cookie on each dollop, then cover each cookie with more melted white chocolate.
  3. Fill the Gaps: Pour the remaining melted almond bark onto the baking sheet, filling all spaces between and around the Oreo cookies to create a solid bark base.
  4. Add Buttons: Place three mini M&Ms underneath each Oreo cookie to represent the buttons on the snowman’s torso.
  5. Make Earmuffs: Position gumdrop halves on the sides of each cookie for earmuffs. Connect the gumdrops with pieces of the Twizzler pull and peel candy to complete the earmuffs look.
  6. Create Snowman Faces: Use black cookie icing to pipe dots for the eyes and mouth on each snowman face. Use orange icing to add carrot-shaped noses.
  7. Set the Bark: Allow the bark to set at room temperature for several hours until firm, or place it in the refrigerator for about 1 hour to speed up the setting process.
  8. Cut and Serve: Dip a sharp knife in hot water, dry it, and carefully cut the bark into individual pieces along natural breaks.

Notes

  • Almond bark sets quickly, so have all your candy decorations ready before you start assembling.
  • Work efficiently when adding toppings to prevent the almond bark from hardening prematurely.
  • Store the snowman bark in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week to maintain freshness.
