Description

A refreshing Homemade Vanilla Iced Coffee featuring a smooth and aromatic vanilla simple syrup combined with cold brew coffee, vanilla creamer, and oat milk. Perfect for a cool, flavorful caffeine boost.

Ingredients

Scale

Vanilla Simple Syrup

  • 1 cup granulated cane sugar (100g)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 vanilla bean pod, split in half, or 1 tbsp vanilla bean paste, or 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract

Vanilla Iced Coffee

  • ½-1 cup cold brew coffee, adjust to taste
  • 1-2 tbsp vanilla simple syrup (homemade or store-bought)
  • 2-3 handfuls of ice cubes
  • 1-3 tbsp NutPods Unsweetened French Vanilla Coffee Creamer, or cream of choice
  • 2-4 tbsp oat milk, or milk of choice

Instructions

  1. Prepare Vanilla Simple Syrup: In a small pot, combine sugar, water, and split vanilla bean pod (if using). Bring to a simmer over medium-low heat, stirring continuously until sugar dissolves. Simmer for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Add Vanilla Flavor: Remove from heat. If using vanilla bean paste or extract instead of the pod, add it now and stir gently to combine.
  3. Cool the Syrup: Let syrup cool 5-10 minutes, then pour into a heat-proof airtight glass container or jar. If using the vanilla bean pod, leave it in the jar to continue infusing flavor. Allow syrup to cool completely at room temperature before refrigerating. Store syrup in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
  4. Mix the Iced Coffee: In a serving glass, combine cold brew coffee with 1-2 tablespoons of vanilla simple syrup to taste.
  5. Add Ice and Creamers: Add 2-3 handfuls of ice cubes, then pour in 1-3 tablespoons of NutPods Unsweetened French Vanilla Coffee Creamer and 2-4 tablespoons of oat milk or your preferred milk.
  6. Stir and Serve: Stir the coffee well, taste, and adjust sweetness by adding more vanilla syrup if needed. Serve immediately for a refreshing iced coffee experience.

Notes

  • Store homemade vanilla simple syrup in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
  • Adjust the amount of vanilla syrup and creamers to suit your desired sweetness and creaminess.
  • Cold brew coffee is recommended for best flavor and smoothness.
  • Use NutPods Unsweetened French Vanilla Creamer for optimal vanilla flavor without added sugar, but any cream or milk of choice works.
  • Ensure the syrup cools completely before refrigerating to prevent sugar crystallization.
