Ingredients

Units Scale

Layers

  • 16 ounces Refried Beans (canned)
  • 16 ounces Guacamole
  • 16 ounces Salsa
  • 1 3/4 cups Sour Cream
  • 1 Packet Taco Seasoning (1 ounce)
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Toppings

  • 1/4 cup Diced Tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup Diced Green Bell Pepper
  • 2.25 ounces Sliced &; Drained Black Olives (canned)
  • Plastic Spiders (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Layer Refried Beans: In a 2-quart round casserole dish, evenly spread a layer of refried beans until smooth, creating a solid base for the dip.
  2. Add Guacamole Layer: Spread the guacamole evenly over the refried beans to form the second layer of the dip.
  3. Prepare Taco-Seasoned Sour Cream: Reserve 1/4 cup of sour cream for decorating later. In a bowl, mix the remaining sour cream with the taco seasoning packet until fully combined.
  4. Layer Sour Cream and Salsa: Spread the seasoned sour cream mixture evenly over the guacamole. Follow by spreading the salsa evenly on top of the sour cream layer.
  5. Top with Cheese: Finely chop the shredded cheddar cheese if desired or use as is, then sprinkle it evenly over the salsa layer.
  6. Create the Spiderweb Decoration: Transfer the reserved 1/4 cup sour cream into a Ziploc bag with a small cut corner, an icing bag, or a condiment bottle with a narrow nozzle. Starting in the center of the dip, draw a cross with four lines extending outward. Rotate the dish 90 degrees and draw another cross to create an eight-spoked web.
  7. Draw Circular Webbing: Between each pair of lines on the spiderweb, draw three curved lines connecting the arms to mimic the web pattern.
  8. Add Vegetable Border: Decorate the edge of the casserole dish with diced tomatoes, diced green bell peppers, and sliced black olives to frame the dip beautifully.
  9. Place Plastic Spiders: Carefully add plastic spider decorations onto the spiderweb for a spooky Halloween effect.
  10. Serve or Store: Serve the dip immediately or cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to serve. Best enjoyed fresh for optimal taste and presentation.
