Dry Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Main
- 2 cans Grands Cinnamon Rolls
Brown Sugar Butter Sauce
- 1 cup brown sugar (firmly packed)
- 1 cup butter (melted)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Heat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it’s ready for baking the monkey bread evenly.
- Prepare Pan: Lightly grease a cake or fluted bundt pan to prevent sticking and help the bread release easily.
- Mix Cinnamon Sugar: Combine the 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon in a large Ziploc bag, shaking to blend well.
- Prepare Dough: Separate the cinnamon roll dough and cut each roll into quarters to make bite-sized pieces.
- Coat Dough: Place the dough pieces into the cinnamon sugar bag and shake until all pieces are evenly coated with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Arrange Dough in Pan: Remove the coated pieces from the bag and layer them evenly in the prepared bundt pan.
- Make Brown Sugar Butter Sauce: In a small bowl, mix together 1 cup brown sugar (firmly packed) and 1 cup melted butter until well combined.
- Pour Sauce Over Dough: Evenly pour the brown sugar butter mixture over the cinnamon roll pieces in the pan, ensuring coverage for caramelization.
- Bake: Place the pan in the oven and bake for 28 to 32 minutes or until the monkey bread is golden brown and no longer doughy in the center.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the monkey bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then invert the pan onto a serving plate. Pull apart and serve warm; optionally, drizzle with the icing packets from the cinnamon rolls for extra sweetness.
Notes
- This monkey bread is best served warm for that gooey, caramelized texture and flavor.
- Use the icing packets included with the Grands Cinnamon Rolls for an optional sweet glaze topping.
- If you prefer less sweetness, reduce the brown sugar or omit the icing.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat before serving.
- To make it vegan, try using vegan butter and vegan cinnamon rolls.
