Description

 Experience the delightful fusion of flavors in this Easy Miso Shrimp Scampi. Tender shrimp, seasoned with Creole Cajun spices, are bathed in a savory miso, garlic, and white wine sauce. Perfect for a quick and elegant meal, served with crusty bread or pasta.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh (or thawed frozen) large shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • Creole Cajun Seasoning (homemade or store-bought)
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 small shallot, finely chopped
  • 8 cloves of garlic, minced or pressed
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine (sauvignon blanc)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh-squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons white miso paste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chopped flat-leaf parsley, divided
  • For serving: crusty bread or cooked pasta (optional)

 


Instructions

  1. Prep Shrimp:
    • Pat shrimp dry.
    • Season with Creole Cajun seasoning.
    • Drizzle with 2 tablespoons olive oil.
    • Marinate for 30 minutes.
  2. Sauté Shrimp:
    • Heat remaining 2 tablespoons olive oil in a skillet.
    • Sauté shrimp for 1 1/2 minutes per side, until pink.
    • Set shrimp aside.
  3. Make Scampi Sauce:
    • Add butter and shallot to the skillet, sauté until translucent.
    • Add garlic and red pepper flakes (if using), cook until fragrant.
    • Deglaze with white wine and lemon juice, simmer.
    • Add chicken broth and miso paste, stir until incorporated.
  4. Combine and Serve:
    • Return shrimp to the skillet with juices and 1 tablespoon parsley.
    • Toss and cook for 1 minute.
    • Garnish with remaining parsley.
    • Serve with crusty bread or pasta.
