These Easy Chicken Fajita Wraps are a quick and delicious meal that’s perfect for a weeknight dinner! Tender chicken and colorful bell peppers are seasoned with a flavorful blend of spices, then wrapped in warm tortillas with your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

Units Scale

For The Wraps:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound chicken breast, sliced into 1/4-inch strips
  • 1 1/2 large bell peppers, sliced into 1/4-inch strips
  • 1/2 medium red onion, sliced into 1/4-inch strips
  • 1 medium lime, juice only (about 2 tablespoons)
  • 4 large flour tortillas (12 inch)

For The Seasoning:

  • 2 teaspoons oregano
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Prep Filling: Slice chicken breast, bell peppers, and red onion into ¼-inch strips. Prepare desired toppings.
  2. Season Chicken: In a bowl, combine chicken with oregano, cumin, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt.
  3. Cook Chicken: Heat olive oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add seasoned chicken and cook for 9-10 minutes, turning halfway, until cooked through (165°F/74°C). Remove and cover.
  4. Cook Vegetables: Add bell peppers and red onion to the skillet. Cover and cook for 7-8 minutes, until tender. Remove lid, add chicken, and squeeze lime juice over.
  5. Assemble Wraps: Divide chicken and vegetables evenly among tortillas. Add desired toppings.
  6. Fold Wraps: Fold sides of tortillas toward the center. Fold one remaining side over the center and roll.
  7. Optional Browning: Spray a clean skillet with cooking spray and heat over medium heat. Place wraps seam-side down and cook until browned, about 30-60 seconds per side.

Notes

  • Customize with toppings like guacamole, sour cream, diced tomatoes, or cheese.
  • Substitute seasoning with 1 ½ tablespoons of taco seasoning, but still add ½ teaspoon of salt and adjust to taste.
  • Warm tortillas between damp paper towels in the microwave for 30-60 seconds for easier rolling.
  • Nutrition information is an estimate and doesn’t include extra toppings.
