Description

This Easter Dirt Cake is a fun and festive no-bake dessert, perfect for celebrating Easter. Layers of crushed Oreo cookies, creamy pudding, and Cool Whip are topped with Easter M&Mโ€™s and PEEP marshmallows for a delightful treat.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 15.5 oz package Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 cups milk
  • 2 boxes 3.4 oz each instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 12 oz Cool Whip, thawed
  • 1 cup Easter M&Mโ€™s
  • 20 PEEP marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Cream Butter, Cream Cheese, and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, softened cream cheese, and powdered sugar. Set aside.
  2. Prepare Pudding: In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk with the instant chocolate pudding mix until smooth.
  3. Combine Pudding and Cream Cheese Mixture: Pour the pudding mixture into the cream cheese mixture. Beat until combined, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
  4. Fold in Cool Whip: Gently fold in the thawed Cool Whip.
  5. Assemble Cake: Prepare a 9ร—13 inch dish by pressing half of the crushed Oreo cookies on the bottom. Top with the pudding filling, and then top with the remaining crushed Oreo cookies.
  6. Chill: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until set.
  7. Decorate and Serve: When ready to serve, sprinkle the top of the cake with Easter M&Mโ€™s candy, place one PEEP marshmallow on each slice of cake, and add edible green grass (if desired).

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, you can use chocolate cream-filled cookies instead of Oreos.
  • You can use different flavors of instant pudding mix, such as vanilla or cookies and cream.
  • Feel free to decorate the cake with other Easter candies or decorations.
  • Ensure the cream cheese and butter are softened to room temperature for a smooth mixture.
