Description

This Crispy Chilli Chicken recipe is a delicious and flavorful dish that combines tender chicken strips with a crispy coating, tossed in a sweet and spicy stir-fry sauce. Perfect for a quick and satisfying meal!


Ingredients

Chicken Marinade:

  • 300 g Chicken Breast
  • 2 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Garlic And Ginger Paste
  • 1 tsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp White Pepper

Stir Fry Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
  • 4 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice

Other Ingredients:

  • 100 g Cornflour (add more if needed)
  • 1 Egg White
  • 2 Spring Onions
  • Vegetable Oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Cut the chicken breast into thin strips.
  2. Marinate the Chicken: Combine chicken with marinade ingredients and let it rest.
  3. Prepare Stir Fry Sauce: Mix together honey, lemon juice, soy sauce, and sriracha.
  4. Coat the Chicken: Mix egg white and cornflour with chicken until coated.
  5. Fry the Chicken: Fry coated chicken until crispy.
  6. Make Stir Fry Sauce: Sauté garlic and ginger, then add stir fry sauce and thicken.
  7. Combine: Toss crispy chicken in sauce, mix with spring onions, and serve.

Notes

  • If cornflour clumps, separate chicken pieces for coating.
  • Baking option: Preheat oven to 200°C, bake chicken for 20 mins until crispy.
