Description

This Crock Pot Spinach Artichoke Dip is a warm, creamy, and cheesy appetizer perfect for parties and gatherings. Made with fresh spinach, artichoke hearts, cream cheese, sour cream, mozzarella, Parmesan, and garlic, it’s slow-cooked to perfection to develop rich flavors and a smooth, irresistible texture. Serve it with crackers or chips for a crowd-pleasing snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Dip Ingredients

  • 1 (10 ounce) bag fresh spinach, roughly chopped
  • 1 (14 ounce) can artichoke hearts, roughly chopped
  • 1 (8 ounce) block cream cheese, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Add fresh spinach, chopped artichoke hearts, cream cheese cubes, sour cream, shredded mozzarella, shredded Parmesan, minced garlic, salt, and pepper into a small crock pot. Stir everything together until well combined.
  2. Cook on Low: Cover the crock pot and set it to LOW heat. Let the dip cook for 2 hours total to allow the flavors to meld and cheeses to melt into a creamy consistency.
  3. Stir Halfway: After 1 hour, remove the lid carefully and stir the dip thoroughly to ensure even cooking and prevent sticking on the sides.
  4. Continue Cooking: Replace the lid and let the dip cook for an additional hour on LOW.
  5. Adjust Seasoning and Serve: Stir the dip again, taste it, and add extra salt and pepper as needed. Serve warm with your choice of crackers or chips.

Notes

  • For a thicker dip, you can drain excess liquid from the artichokes before adding.
  • Use fresh garlic for the best flavor, but garlic powder can be substituted if needed.
  • This dip can also be prepared in an oven-safe dish baked at 350°F for 25-30 minutes if a crock pot is unavailable.
  • Serve immediately to enjoy the warm, melty texture.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated and gently reheated before serving.
