Ingredients

Units Scale
  • Chicken:

    • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
    • 2 teaspoons ranch seasoning mix
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Gravy:

    • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • 4 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 (10.5 oz) can condensed cream of chicken soup
    • 1 cup whole milk or 2% milk
    • 1 (1 oz) packet ranch seasoning mix
    • 1/2 cup sour cream
    • Fresh parsley or green onions, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season and Cook Chicken: In a bowl, combine ranch seasoning, salt, and pepper. Season chicken pieces with the mixture. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken and set aside.
  2. Make Gravy: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sautรฉ until fragrant. Stir in cream of chicken soup, milk, and ranch seasoning mix. Simmer until smooth and creamy.
  3. Combine and Simmer: Return chicken to the skillet and stir into the gravy. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes, or until chicken is tender.
  4. Finish and Serve: Stir in sour cream until smooth. Garnish with parsley or green onions, if desired. Serve with mashed potatoes or rice.

Notes

  • You can sear the whole chicken breasts before cutting them into bite-sized pieces for a juicier result.
  • Adjust the amount of ranch seasoning to your preference.
  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes or hot sauce for a spicier gravy.
  • You can substitute boneless pork chops or turkey cutlets for the chicken.
  • Add sautรฉed vegetables like mushrooms, peas, or spinach for extra flavor and nutrition.
  • Leftovers taste even better the next day!
