Description

This Creamy Jalapeño Corn is a flavorful and easy side dish that’s perfect for any occasion! Sweet corn kernels are cooked with jalapeños, garlic, and a touch of spice, then finished with heavy cream for a rich and creamy texture.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 jalapeños, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 16 ounces frozen corn (or fresh, canned, or thawed frozen)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Optional garnishes: freshly grated Parmesan cheese, chopped chives

Instructions

  1. Sauté Aromatics: Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add diced jalapeños and minced garlic; cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Add Corn and Spices: Add corn, salt, paprika, and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Stir to combine and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until corn is heated through.
  3. Add Cream and Serve: Pour in heavy cream and stir to combine. Cook for 1 minute, or until the cream thickens slightly. Remove from heat and serve immediately.
  4. Optional Garnish: Top with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and chopped chives, if desired.

Notes

  • Cooking time may vary depending on the type of corn used (frozen, thawed frozen, canned, or fresh). Cook until heated through.
  • 16 ounces frozen corn is approximately 3 cups of corn kernels, 3 medium ears of corn, or two 15-ounce cans of drained corn.
  • Adjust the amount of jalapeños and red pepper flakes to your spice preference.
