Dough:
- All-purpose flour for dusting the dough and cutting board
- 8 ounce crescent dough sheet (or crescent rolls)
Filling:
- 8 ounce wheel of brie cheese
- 1 cup whole berry cranberry sauce (not jellied)
- Fresh rosemary sprig (about 2 sprigs, depending on length)
Instructions
- Preheat and prepare muffin tin: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray a 24-count mini muffin tin with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Roll and cut dough: Dust your counter or cutting board lightly with all-purpose flour. Roll out the 8-ounce crescent dough sheet. If using crescent rolls, pinch the seams together to form one continuous sheet. Cut the dough into 24 equal-sized squares.
- Fill dough squares: Place each dough square into the muffin tin slots, pressing lightly to form small cups. Cut the 8-ounce wheel of brie cheese into small pieces and place one piece inside each dough square.
- Add cranberry sauce and rosemary: Top each brie-filled dough cup with a generous spoonful of whole berry cranberry sauce. Add a small piece of fresh rosemary sprig on top of each bite for an aromatic touch.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes or until the crescent dough turns a light golden brown.
- Serve warm: Remove from the oven and serve immediately while warm for the best flavor and texture.
Notes
- Cranberry Brie Bites combine flaky crescent dough with creamy brie, tangy cranberry sauce, and fresh rosemary for an easy, beautiful appetizer.
- Use whole berry cranberry sauce for texture; avoid jellied cranberry sauce to maintain bright flavor and consistency.
- Fresh rosemary can be adjusted based on your preference for herb intensity.
- Make sure the dough is lightly floured to prevent sticking when rolling and cutting.
- Serving warm enhances the taste and texture; these bites are perfect for holiday parties or gatherings.
