  • 2 teaspoons steak seasoning
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup reserved frying oil (from cooking chicken)
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour (for gravy)
  • 3 cups milk (for gravy)

Instructions

  1. Prep Chicken: Butterfly chicken breasts lengthwise to make them thinner. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Make Breading and Batter: In a shallow dish, combine 1 cup flour, 2 teaspoons each of salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and steak seasoning. In another dish, whisk together 1 cup milk and the egg.
  3. Bread and Fry Chicken: Dredge chicken in the flour mixture, then the egg mixture, and then back in the flour mixture.
