Cobbler:
- 1 cup flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt, divided
- 2 tsp cinnamon, divided
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Topping:
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1 3/4 cup hot water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F: Spray an 8×8 baking dish with cooking spray.
- Prepare the Batter: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp cinnamon, granulated sugar, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla until smooth. Pour into the prepared baking dish.
- Make the Topping: In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, remaining 1/2 tsp salt, and remaining 1 tsp cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture over the batter.
- Add Hot Water: Slowly pour the hot water over the sugar mixture.
