This festive Christmas Guacamole Wreath is a fun and delicious appetizer perfect for holiday gatherings. Made with ripe avocados, diced tomatoes with chilies, lime juice, and fresh herbs, this guacamole is shaped into a beautiful wreath, garnished with cherry tomatoes and cilantro leaves, and served with crunchy tortilla chips or fresh vegetables. Ready in just 15 minutes, it’s an easy and colorful way to impress guests.

Ingredients

Scale

Guacamole Wreath Ingredients

  • 6 ripe avocados
  • 2 cans RO*TEL® Original Diced Tomatoes and Green Chilies (10 ounces each), drained well
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • ½ cup red onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • Salt, to taste

Garnish and Serving

  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Cilantro leaves
  • Tortilla chips or vegetables for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Avocados: Pit and peel the avocados and place them in a large bowl. Coarsely mash them using a fork or potato masher until you achieve a chunky but creamy texture.
  2. Add Other Ingredients: Add the drained RO*TEL diced tomatoes with green chilies, lime juice, chopped red onion, minced garlic, ground cumin, and finely chopped fresh cilantro to the mashed avocados. Mix everything thoroughly to combine the flavors evenly.
  3. Season with Salt: Taste the guacamole mixture and add salt to your preference, then mix again to incorporate.
  4. Form the Wreath Shape: Place a small bowl in the center of a larger shallow serving bowl to act as a mold. Spoon the guacamole mixture around the small bowl inside the larger bowl to create a ring or wreath shape.
  5. Remove the Mold: Carefully lift and remove the small bowl from the center, leaving a perfect guacamole wreath shape on the plate.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Decorate the guacamole wreath with cherry tomatoes and fresh cilantro leaves to mimic a Christmas wreath’s festive look. Serve alongside tortilla chips or fresh vegetables and enjoy!
