Pasta & Main Ingredients
- 1 box Jumbo shell pasta
- 2 cups Shredded rotisserie chicken
- 1 bag Frozen broccoli, chopped and cooked
Cheeses
- 1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
Sauce
- 1 jar Alfredo sauce
Seasonings
- 1/4 tsp Garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat Oven โ Heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit to ensure itโs ready for baking the stuffed shells.
- Cook Pasta โ Boil the jumbo shell pasta in a large pot of water until they are al dente. Drain them and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process and prevent sticking.
- Prepare Filling โ In a large bowl, mix together the shredded rotisserie chicken, cooked and chopped broccoli, and garlic powder until evenly combined.
- Add Sauce to Filling โ Pour 1 cup of the Alfredo sauce into the chicken and broccoli mixture, and stir until everything is well coated.
- Assemble Shells โ Stuff each jumbo shell with the chicken, broccoli, and sauce mixture, using a spoon to fill them generously.
- Prepare Baking Dish โ Spread a layer of Alfredo sauce on the bottom of a 9ร13-inch baking dish to prevent sticking and to add flavor.
- Layer Stuffed Shells โ Arrange the stuffed shells neatly in the baking dish on top of the sauce layer.
- Top with Sauce and Cheese โ Pour the remaining Alfredo sauce evenly over the shells, then sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated parmesan cheese over the top for a golden, cheesy finish.
- Bake โ Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20โ25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the dish is heated through.
Notes
- You can use freshly steamed broccoli instead of frozen, if preferred.
- Substitute turkey or another cooked meat for the chicken if desired.
- Donโt overstuff the shells to prevent breaking during baking.
- Let the dish rest for a few minutes after baking before serving for easier handling.
