Description

The Jack Frost Mimosa is a vibrant and refreshing cocktail perfect for brunch or festive occasions, combining the citrusy brightness of lemonade and Blue Curacao with sparkling champagne, all rimmed with sweetened coconut flakes for a frosty, tropical twist.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Cocktail

  • 1 Bottle Champagne or sparkling wine (750ml)
  • 1/4 cup Blue Curacao
  • 2 cups Lemonade

For the Rim

  • 1/3 cup sweetened coconut flakes
  • Honey (for rimming)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Glass Rims: Dip the rim of each Champagne glass into honey to moisten it, then immediately dip the rim into the sweetened coconut flakes to coat. Set the glasses aside to allow the coconut to adhere and dry slightly before assembling the drinks.
  2. Add Blue Curacao: Evenly split the 1/4 cup Blue Curacao among the prepared glasses, pouring it gently into the bottom of each glass for a beautiful base layer of bright blue color.
  3. Pour Lemonade: Add lemonade to each glass carefully until the glass is about half full, combining with the Blue Curacao for a tangy and sweet blend.
  4. Top with Champagne: Slowly top off each glass with chilled Champagne or sparkling wine. Pour gently to preserve the bubbles and create a visually appealing layered effect.
  5. Serve Immediately: Present the Jack Frost Mimosas right away to enjoy the fresh effervescence and the icy, tropical flavors enhanced by the coconut-rimmed glasses.

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, substitute Champagne with club soda or sparkling water and use Blue Curacao syrup instead of the alcoholic liqueur.
  • Any sparkling wine variety can be used, but Spanish Cava is a great budget-friendly and lighter choice preferred for this cocktail.
