Description

These Air Fryer Turkey Meatballs are a healthy and delicious option for a quick and easy meal. They’re made with lean ground turkey and seasoned with Italian herbs and spices, then cooked to perfection in the air fryer.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 pound ground turkey (85/15 or 93/7)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped Italian parsley
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prep: Lightly coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray or spread a small amount of oil to prevent sticking.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, add the ground turkey, egg, Italian breadcrumbs, grated parmesan cheese, parsley, water, olive oil, minced garlic, onion powder, kosher salt, and black pepper. Gently mix together until thoroughly combined.
  3. Shape Meatballs: Use a cookie scoop or your clean hands to form 12 evenly-sized meatballs.
  4. Preheat and Cook: Preheat the air fryer to 375°F. Place the turkey meatballs into the preheated air fryer basket, making sure to leave some space between each meatball to ensure even cooking. Cook for 16-18 minutes, turning the meatballs at the halfway time mark. When done, the meatballs should be golden brown and have reached an internal temperature of 165°F.
  5. Serve: Serve the turkey meatballs with your favorite sauce or as a topping for pasta, salads, casseroles, sandwiches, or anything that calls for meatballs.

Notes

  • Ground Turkey: You can use any type of ground turkey you like, but leaner ground turkey is recommended for this recipe.
  • Breadcrumbs: You can use regular breadcrumbs or panko breadcrumbs.
  • Air Fryer: Cooking times may vary depending on your air fryer model. Be sure to use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the meatballs.
  • Storage: Store leftover meatballs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
