- 5 bratwurst sausages
- 5 pieces mozzarella string cheese
- 3 jalapeños, sliced (seeded for less heat)
- 12 ounces bacon
- 1 can refrigerated pizza dough (classic crust)
- 1 egg, for egg wash
- 1 tablespoon water, for egg wash
- 1 tablespoon everything bagel seasoning
Horseradish Mustard Dip:
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
- 1/4 cup sour cream
Instructions
- Prep Brats: Cut string cheese in half. Slice brats lengthwise, but not all the way through. Stuff each brat with cheese halves and jalapeño slices.
- Wrap and Air Fry Brats: Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Wrap each brat with 2 slices of bacon, overlapping to cover completely. Air fry for 7 minutes.
- Make Dip: While brats cook, whisk together Dijon mustard, yellow mustard, horseradish, and sour cream in a small bowl.
- Wrap in Dough: Remove brats from the air fryer and let cool slightly. Blot excess grease with a paper towel. Unroll pizza dough and cut into ¼-inch strips.
- Air Fry Again: Preheat air fryer to 385°F (196°C). Wrap each brat with 2 strips of pizza dough. Brush with egg wash (1 egg beaten with 1 tablespoon water) and sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning. Air fry for 7 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Serve: Serve hot with the horseradish mustard dip.
Notes
- Leaving the bottom of the bratwurst intact helps prevent cheese from leaking out during cooking.
- Adjust the amount of jalapeños to your preferred spice level.
- If you don’t have everything bagel seasoning, you can use your favorite seasoning blend.
- Serve with additional dipping sauces, such as ketchup or mustard.
